Meet the Instructor, Miss Zoe
My passion is to serve the children in my community and to see them go from helpless in the water to swimming and floating with confidence, giving peace of mind to their families, and life-saving skills to empower them for years to come.

Throughout my adulthood, I’ve volunteered to teach swimming classes and music lessons to the kids in my community, as well as being a part of the Dallas Masters Swim Club. I found fulfillment in combining my love for children with teaching about water safety and decided to pursue a certification to instruct through the local YMCA. During my teaching there, I learned the importance of drowning prevention, and the statistics for toddlers in particular fueled my desire to ultimately commit myself to these little ones. After much research, I was led to the specialty of infant survival swimming with Infant Aquatics, and through their organization I received my intensive training and certifications. I absolutely have found my true calling and have great joy in what I’m privileged to do each day!

The Infant Aquatics Difference
Training
As a swim instructor for infants and toddlers, I properly understand the intricacies of child development and take in to account the uniqueness of each child as they differ from one another in behavior and response to the lesson. Similar to personalities, none are exactly the same, and the training received from Infant Aquatics® stresses the importance of not only the physical aspects of swimming, but also the physiological impacts and how to conduct lessons in the water safely. My attention is directed on the child with me in the pool at every moment, and I am constantly checking their attentiveness, body temperature, breathing patterns, and more to make sure they are completely free from any harm. Proper water chemical balance and other critical factors are all part of the process to ensure a safe and effective swim lesson for your little one!

Network
Infant Aquatics® instructors aren’t just passionate about water safety—they’re constantly working to improve, learn, and grow, right alongside each other. You’re not just getting “swim lessons.” You’re getting a dedicated, highly-trained instructor who’s completed over 150 hours of in-water instruction, hands-on skill-building, and conference sessions just like this one!
For us, “good enough” isn’t an option. Every instructor is fine-tuning their skills, sharing knowledge, and mastering new techniques to make sure every child they teach has the best possible foundation in the water. Whether it’s helping a baby learn to find their breath or troubleshooting a toddler’s tricky swim, your Infant Aquatics® instructor brings more to each lesson than just a passion for teaching -- they bring a wealth of expertise, years of collective knowledge, and a network of fellow instructors who are just as committed to water safety as they are.
